Not3s Drops the Music Video for ‘So Far Gone’ Featuring Mayorkun

Not3s

UK artiste Not3s is out with the official music video for his latest single ‘So Far Gone‘, featuring Nigerian Afrobeats star Mayorkun.

Shot in Lagos, Nigeria, the video showcases the vibrant and diverse local culture, with stunning shots of traditional clothing and Nigerian dishes like jollof being prepared on a large scale.

‘So Far Gone’ marks a significant phase in Not3s’ career, as he connects deeply with his Nigerian roots. Despite being born and raised in Hackney, his upbringing was steeped in Nigerian culture, shaping him both as an individual and an artiste. During a visit to Fela Kuti‘s grave in Lagos, Not3s was told by Nigerian kingmaker Bankulli that he belonged in Lagos and should continue the Afrobeats story as a “son of the soil”.

‘So Far Gone’ is a catchy and feel-good track influenced by Amapiano and Afrobeats, with complex melodies delivered by Not3s and an infectious chorus by Mayorkun. The music video perfectly complements the song, with shots of young men arm wrestling and local children acting as a showcase of the range and variety amongst Nigerian locals and communities.

Not3s has quickly made a name for himself in the UK music scene with chart hits like ‘Addison Lee’ and ‘Aladdin’. Now at 25 and six years after his debut album, he has matured as an artiste and is tapping into his most authentic self. ‘So Far Gone’ is just the beginning of an exciting new phase in Not3s’ career, and fans can expect more authentic and inspiring music to come.
