NMPA Acknowledges Rema for his Song “Calm Down”

Rema

From the new school category of our music scene, Rema is already an undeniable legend, placing himself as the biggest export out of Africa in recent years.

In addition to the huge achievements of his first album “Rave & Roses” and the hit “Calm Down,” Rema is gaining significant personal acclaim, solidifying his position as a highly prominent afrobeats artiste globally.

The National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA), a U.S. organization focused on safeguarding the copyright interests of artistes, has acknowledged Rema’s achievements. They will honor him with their platinum award for his songwriting on the popular track “Calm Down.” Producers Andre Vibez and London, as well as Selena Gomez featured in the remix, are also acknowledged.

Rema joins big names like Beyoncé and Lewis Capaldi to be recognized by this prestigious body.
