Money No Dey by Supa Gaeta was recorded in 2016 as a bonus track off his upcoming EP but felt the need to release it earlier because of how relatable the song is. The beat was produced by The Seven as a sample from Ayat and Kayso’s IDKY but Supa Gaeta brought up the idea of the hook and the sample was taken out and made into an original song.
Money No Dey was inspired by the artiste’s struggles in raising money to promote a few singles. He featured his friend Mr. O who happened to be going through a similar situation at the time. Supa Gaeta is an Afrobeats artiste but occasionally gives us a bit of hip hop like this one. We are expecting an EP from him soon.
