Moor Sound, King Joey & Copta Collaborative Project “ICYMI” Finally Here!

After each dropping individual music projects at the first half of 2018, rappers Copta and King Joey along with record producer/ DJ, Moor Sound have teamed up to drop a joint album, ICYMI.

Released on 5th November 2018, The album title, ICYMI- which abbreviates In Case You Missed It, is intended to take listeners on a sonic journey both to the artist’s past endeavors also to their present sound -which Moor Sound describes as music created without suppression.

What inspires this collaboration is the synergy the trio have and the unique songs that have been produced as a result: “Pink Molly” off Copta’s The Finer Things EP and “Work”  from King Joey & Moor Sound’s joint EP- High Demand. ICYMI was made to be a fuller experience of what the trio have processed together musically.

With canny lyrics & a woozy beat, “Obsessed” showcases all three artists in prime form. With appetites for destruction equal to their thirst for luxury goods & women. Even with such obvious shared interests dominating the lyrics and distinct execution styles of both rappers, In Case You Missed It deflects the sort of homogeneity that turns most trap albums into total mush. Of course, having a versatile beatsmith like Moor Sound doesn’t hurt matters either, leaning towards clubby afro swing on Heat So and drowning in the alcohol for the party favorite Red Cup.

10 solid bangers with a run time of 34 minutes & impressive features from Magnom, Slimdrumz, AnkwandA & Kidd Black, ICYMI, is meant to both carry the vibe of distressing in Ghana while maintaining the quality that registers its production as detailed and well-made. Available on digital platforms now!
