Merchmania 2k20 is here and it already looks better than the first edition!

In an era where urban fashion has become a religion, merch pop-ups have now become a necessity. They help shine a light on young fashion brands that have styled artistes for many years. Merchmania is steadily becoming a hub where all merch startups Ghana and West Africa converge.

Merchmania 2020

Powered by La Même Gang’s $pacely, Merchamania has a sole purpose—making merch pleasing to the least aesthetic person and normalizing the patronage of locally made merch.

Last year’s edition, the debut, was a success! This year’s event which is in collaboration with the Rilla party will take place at the Backyard (East Legon). Brands like Alchemy, Rvger, Broke and Famous, Wontuilla and Spacely’s official merchandise for his record label (Labadi music) were present at last year’s event. There was a sale of skateboards with people skating around.

Merchmania was an ideal spot for networking. Musicians got to meet other musicians in person for the first time. Fashion designers in Ghana got the chance to connect and learn ideas from each other.

Merchmania 2020

At night, there was a music concert with performances from both alternative and mainstream artistes. A few notable artistes that were present include Joey B, La Meme Gang, Kwesi Arthur, Pappy Kojo, King Promise, Gyakie.

The previous Merchmania was a huge success and this year’s edition promises to be much better!
