List of Global Icons Who have Contracted the Coronavirus (Covid-19)

We put together a list of celebrities and global icons who have contracted the coronavirus.

With more than 100,000 infections around the world, a global coronavirus outbreak has left the globe in a state of panic, with the W.H.O officially characterizing the outbreak a pandemic.

On March 10, a fake BBC News Twitter account shocked the world when they posted about Daniel Radcliffe’s alleged positive coronavirus test. It didn’t help that many reputable publications and reporters retweeted the false claim or covered the fake news themselves. We, therefore, decided to put together a list of celebrities and global icons who have contracted the coronavirus.

Sophie Trudeau

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, former television host, and the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, also tested positive for coronavirus.  “She is feeling well, is taking all the recommended precautions and her symptoms remain mild,” a statement from the office of the prime minister said about her condition.

Greetings from Norway! Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID19, Corona virus. My familiy and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes. We are in good health – I only have mild symptoms of a cold. There are people at higher risk for who this virus might be a devastating diagnosis, so I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1,5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading. Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals. Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy! Please visit your country's Center for Disease Control's website, and follow the regulations for staying safe and protecting not just yourselves, but our entire community, and especially those at risk like the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions. @grymolvaerhivju #fightcorona #solidarity #takecare #folkehelseinstituttet Thanks to @panoramaagency

Olga Kurylenko

Olga Kurylenko, who most notably played Camille Montes in the 2008 James Bond film Quantum of Solace, revealed that she tested positive for coronavirus after feeling under the weather for nearly a week. Kurylenko says she was experiencing fatigue, and had a noticeable fever when she decided to get tested.
In her next Instagram post where she thanked people for their well wishes, Kurylenko responded to people questioning why she was quarantining herself at home after finding out she had coronavirus. “Because hospitals are full and they are only taking patients that are struggling with life, if I understand correctly, I was told that if I get worse to call an ambulance,” she wrote.

Hello, folks. @ritawilson and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive. Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We’ll keep the world posted and updated. Take care of yourselves! Hanx!

Timo Hubers

German second division footballer has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Hannover say their defender Timo Hubers, 23, is in quarantine at home while the rest of the playing staff will be tested

In a statement, the Bundesliga second division team said the 23-year-old defender is currently under quarantine at home.

“It is assumed that Hubers got infected at an event in Hildesheim on Saturday evening. Since he has had no contact with his teammates since the infection, which can be precisely localized, it cannot be assumed that his teammates have also been infected,” read the statement published on the club website.

Rudy Gobert

Jazz center Rudy Gobert has tested positive for coronavirus, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The NBA has confirmed in a press release that a Jazz player tested positive for COVID-19, though the league didn’t specifically name Gobert as that player. The test result was reported just before tip-off of tonight’s game between Utah and Oklahoma City, which was postponed.

As a result of the coronavirus crisis, the NBA will suspend the season indefinitely following the conclusion of the recent games.
