KENDRICK LAMAR LEADS 2019 GRAMMYS WITH 8 NOMINATIONS

The festive season is well underway and fans have been met with the ever controversial 2019 grammy nomination list.

This year’s window to submit spanned between October 1st, 2017 to September 30th, 2018.

There was room for added surprise this year, given that this will mark the first time the Grammys employ its expanded rules for categories like Album of the Year and Song of the Year. Instead of the usual five nominees, those categories—in addition to Best New Artist and Record of the Year—were given eight.

Kendrick Lamar leads with (8), Drake (7) and Cardi B (5) dominate the nominations this time around. Also another pleasant surprise of rapper, 6Lack being nominated in the best song/sung performance category for his “Pretty Little Fears” featuring J Cole.

Hip Hop being the main debate once again this year, these are the categories your favourites were nominated in:
