What are some challenges you’ve faced as a raising star?

Building a hip hop artist brand is not easy, secondly, studio time and reaching out to people to download your content.

Who/Where do you draw inspiration from?

I draw my inspiration from the likes of Jermaine Cole, Travis Scott and more especially Nasty C.

What can we expect from you in the near future?

From the near future what you can expect from is my first ever project, its gonna be a EP titled ‘The Beginning EP’, it consists of seven songs and no features, still to decide the release date.

What makes your sound different?

I would really like to collaborate with afro-pop artists and even afro-beats, the melody in that kind of music is basically the best, and i would really like the challenge it may come with because im more of a hip hop artist.

What inspired the name “El Nino Caprinde?”

I like the spanish language and i had this other producer of mine (Mr Chris) who liked calling me theboy back when i was God-X, there is a day i felt changing my stage name,so i got on google and tried to translate theboy in spanish and elnino came thru, caprinde is italian meaning a Gift,so the name basically means,yourboywithagift and why that, because i am gifted, check my soundcloud for proof.

Who are some artists you would like to work with in the near future?

I would love to work with Shekinah in the future, Maphorisa, Gemini Major and obviously Nasty C, thats the names i have in mind right now in terms of what i’m tryna create as a artist

Why Hip Hop?

My love for hip hop is top 2 and not 2, i love music as a whole but with hip hop its a whole different story. even when i wasn’t in this music shit, my playlist was fully hip hop.

Any other interests outside of music?

Yeah actually, i’m very good in sports, i play a lot of soccer if i’m not in studio and even basketball.

Do you believe in a Plan B or music over everything?

Yes i have a Plan B, its something called Music….No, i don’t believe in that, i’m doing this for life.

Where do you think South Africa stands with Hip Hop compared with the rest?

We are one of the best if not the best but just because we sleeping on ourselves and we try to do something thats done on the outside world,we would never know where we stand. Lets try to better our creative nature and release its full potential and then we shall see
