Black Thought dropped Vol. 2 to his Streams Of Thought compilation on November 26, 2018. This time working with producer, Salaam Remi.

Definitely in the conversations of your favourite rapper’s favourite rapper; his calm deminour and the exciting fact to note that he was a member of ‘The Roots’ … saw him finally stand alone on Streams of Thought, Vol. 1, which saw the lyrical beast team up with 9th Wonder.

Salaam on this Vol. 2 record brought a sense of the 70’s soul element, which comes through best on tracks like “How To Hold A Choppa,” where Thought casually rides on a sonic beat, which could have easily found itself at home with an artist like Marvin Gaye. “Conception,” a love record that also provides a step outside the sound Thought would normally be known for, fulfilling his quinch to work with other creative producers.

Once again he proved to the critics he has who’ve said he boarders too much on the side of being too lyrical and less musical, showed that he is capable of crossing over to the world of the dramatic and more melodic feels!
