Amapiano's Next Superstar

Auditions for Amapiano’s Next Superstar have begun in earnest.

This South African next-level talent show, will pair Music Producers with Vocalists and/or lyricists who will compete against each other to be Amapiano’s next superstar.

Every week a pair of contestants will be eliminated until a winning pair is selected.

The show’s producers have said, “We are always looking for ways to grow and nurture the culture, and what better way to achieve that than creating and grooming the next generation of the genre’s superstars.”

Robot Boii and Bontle Smith are the hosts, while the show judges are Mr Jazziq, Thuli P, and DJ Qness. Each week, resident judges will be joined by a guest celebrity judge. Submissions were opened on Wednesday, June 1st, and will close on Thursday, June 30th. The entrants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.

To enter, aspiring entrants have to upload a 30-second to 1-minute audition video singing an Amapiano song for vocalists, a 1-minute clip of an original Amapiano beat for producers or a 30-second to 1-minute video dropping an original verse if you are an Amapiano lyricist.
