Akon

Senegalese-American singer-songwriter Akon’s ‘Locked Up’ And ‘Lonely’ continue to receive massive streams amid lockdowns across the globe.

Countries going into total lockdown has become a common theme amid the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic (Coronavirus).

Everything seems to be looking down, with the exception of Akon’s stream numbers which are going through the roof.

In a recent tweet, the “I’m So Paid” hitmaker said: “Streams numbers for “Locked up” and “Lonely” are through the roof. I guess a lot of people are feeling the effects of self-isolation and this coronavirus, we’ll get through it, peace and love,”

Both “Lonely” and “Locked Up”, were released by Akon in 2004, as part of his debut “Trouble” album – a critically acclaimed body of work which is certified Platinum by the RIAA.
