In the present period, people, particularly those in Africa, are gradually getting used to how intense Social media is. It has turned into an exceptionally essential tool that the vast majority truly can’t go a day without. Portable Apps like Twitter, Instagram, and even Facebook have presented video sharing capacities which have birthed a lot of Global celebrities.

Youtube, which happens to be the greatest video-sharing platform, has been utilized by a significant number of people to become well-known personalities.

YouTubers appear to be the new stars. Making content they like and eventually influencing millions! From instructive recordings to gaming channels, there is something for everybody on YouTube. YouTube’s stars generate cash through advertisements and sponsored videos in addition to self-promotion on the platform.

I put together this article because it was really difficult finding an article on this topic off google.

In no particular order, this is a rundown of my most loved Ghanaian YouTube Channels right now. (I’ll definitely add up to the list as time goes on.)

This is one of my favorite channels at the moment. I think I first heard of it from an Official Kwame tweet. I got to know of Joseph Nti after he posted a time-lapse video on Twitter which he apparently shot for Odunsi‘s T.O.O.L EP.

So Off the Top is a Q&A session with very diverse and interesting guests who obviously aren’t given details to the type of questions they’d be asked. It’s fun because the guests give responses without giving it too much thought or without precise knowledge and that’s the fun part of the entire show. You should definitely check out their channel!

This Channel is owned by Boukeem Adam Baffoe. It’s a Gaming Channel, primarily for NBA. For a Ghanaian Channel, its niche is very rare, however, very successful. With over 10,000 subscribers, TBG has built a name for itself in the gaming community not only in Africa but the world as a whole. The consistency and professionalism involved in making and dropping his videos are indeed very laudable.

So in preparation for getting this article ready, I asked my followers on Twitter to recommend any good Ghanaian YouTubers and this fellow’s name popped up several times in my mentions so I checked her out and subscribed.

This is a channel presented by Mary Ohemaa Amponsah AKA Lil Ohemzy, where she talks about a lot of things- real-life events in a satirical manner, Pep talks, Reaction Videos, Album Listenings etc. The channel is gradually becoming bigger and It’s definitely a must visit. There’s really never a dull moment with Ohemaa.

Kiki & Jay is a Youtube Channel which belongs to a cute Ghanaian couple. Their Channel is to basically show the fun and amazing things one can do with their partner or lover. They are creative and are always trying to come up with fun things to do together as a couple. They prank each other and partake in challenges to entertain each other and their subscribers. You’ll definitely want to take a look at this Channel.

This channel is owned and managed by Elorm Ama Governor-Ababio. It’s kind of like a personal vlog where she talks primarily about her personal experiences. The Channel is steadily growing. There has been a huge improvement in the quality of content. Do check out her page and don’t forget to subscribe.

Lyrical Wars is the first ever Ghanaian Battle Rap League. They use YouTube as their means to televise their events. The league has had two successful seasons and have shown signs to kick off their third. Two weeks ago, they released the first ever Twi (Ghanaian Language) battle under a Battle League. The Battle was between Crowd favorite, Ankwanda, and Ratty GH. With the likes of Ecribz, Amakye The Rapper, Kahaz, Kbo, Flippa and A-Clipse you’re sure to catch some real fun and definitely great lyricism and punchlines on their channel.

I only have two criticisms- they need to be more interactive with their social media pages. (After their first and second seasons, most people actually thought they had died) Secondly, they need to be quick with the post-production of their videos.

DARK&LOVELY comprises of a group of 3 friends that come together once a week and supply reaction videos to Youtube Videos and songs (Particularly sounds from Ghana and Africa as a whole)

As you might have guessed from their thumbnail, they are absolutely hilarious.

Subscribe to their channel to find more rib-cracking content.
