Gwamba ft Emtee – Own Time

“Own Time” is a rapfest! Malawian rap heavyweight Gwamba links up with one of South Africa’s finest Emtee on this one. The duo go bar for bar to create a record that true rap head will appreciate. “Own Time” is produced by BFB and DJ Meg and is released under Major I Records.

Semi Tee ft Focalistic – Reverse

“Reverse” is taken off Semi Tee’s newly released 11-track album dubbed “I’m Only 21”. The amanpiano jam is the second collaboration with rapper Focalistic on the album. If you enjoyed the duos collaboration on earlier released “Mercedes”, then “Reverse” is definitely one for you!

Master KG ft Burnaboy & Nomcebo – Jerusalema

Undoubtedly one of the biggest records out of the continent in recent times. Grammy nominated Burna Boy delivers a powerful verse on the remix of South African artiste Master KG’s raving hit “Jerusalema” remix. The remix of the single berths a wider audience acceptance to the South African sound and creates a chart-topping atmosphere for the hit. 

Don Design – Python

Jack of creative trades Don Design, who is a renowned creative director, fashion designer and DJ adds the title of musician to his eclectic portfolio as a creative with the release of his debut single, “Python”, featuring AKA & Moozlie.

Nasty C – Eazy

“Eazy” is the quitessence of a song that gets better with each play. Nasty C raps about living a stress-free life and having every blessing he has ever prayed for. The epic Allison Swank directed video relies heavily on motion graphics and special effects, making effective use of symbolism to bring the song’s message to life!

Cuebur – the Bridge

South African house disc jockey Cuebur is out with highly recommended new album “The Bridge”. The 7 track album features the likes of DJ Maphorisa, Zikhona, Yarisar Bhelz, Cargo and Lizwi. “iSoka Lam” ft Zikhona is our pick off the project, totally worth the listen.

2Lee Stark ft Zuks – Who Gon’ Stop Me Now

Rapper 2Lee Stark is out with his first single release since his 2020 EP, “Whip Test”. 2Lee Stark is completely unstoppable on this cut as he enquires with with a boastful arrogance, “Who Gon’ Stop Me Now?” He features Zuks on this one who also happened to produce the record.

Popsnotthefather – Karmakollekt

Rapper Popsnotthefather outdoored all-new visuals for his single “Karmakollekt” taken off his recently released “NNN” debut project. The music video was shot and directed by Morale Pablo Phala of Clout Cassette.

Blaklez ft Zano – The Truth About Us

Blaklez releases a new socially conscious music titled “The Truth About Us”, a song that voices his opinion about racism, black people being underpaid among other social issues facing people of colour. Blaklez collaborates with Zano, which makes it the third time the two musians will appear on the same record.

Dibi – Famous Remix

Delivering on his promise, rising star Dibi has officially released his remix to his 2019 single “Famous” taken off his “Up Till Now” EP. Having the original song feature Sy, Dibi gives an extended version with an extra verse from Reason. The two rappers compliment each other well on the remix.

Lungelo Manzi – Sometimes

Emerging Durban-based recording artist and producer Lungelo Manzi newly released “Sometimes” touches on issue of battling depression and anxiety. The song take an emotive storytelling outlook, as Lungelo floats overnd hip-hop drum loops and melodic synths. Co-directed by Lungelo Manzi himself, the visual representation accurately captures the essence of the song.
