South African Hip Hop arguably had one of its most busiest years musically and sometimes with all this constant feeding of music from the well known artists we sometimes forget or overlook some of the great work that hit the streets in the form of artists on the come up or ones returning to stardom.
These are some of the EPs I’ve noticed this year as being awesome bodies of work that needed more recognition:
DEEXCLSV – Two Hours From G Park
ShabZi Madallion – For The People
Malachi – The Book Of Malachi
Touchline – S.O.O.N
J Smash – Rise Of A King
Gigi Lamayne – VI
TMZ – Seeds
OraKola – An Okay August
Seru The Ellipsis – The Escalators Must Be Broken
Red Button – Dark Knights
Which are some of the EPs that you think also deserve an honorable mention?
