Adomaa Features Jayso on ‘What Lovers Do’

Adomaa

This song starts off with a melodious hum then fades out for the popular “Adomaa” signature.

The warm nature of the vocals combined with the tuneful melody of this song easily compels one to fall in love with it. “That’s What Lovers Do” features the “6miLudo” man, Jayso.

The daily “fighting and making up” encountered in relationships is the focal point of this song. Adomaa is heard addressing the struggles of having to deal with pursuing her art and combining it with being in a relationship. This is as a result of the nature of the industry she finds herself in and the popular negative notion that surrounds it. She, however, mentions in the song that despite wanting to attain the heights her eyes are set on which brings constant misunderstanding between her and her partner, she’ll always be there.

Like the two sides of a coin, Jayso comes in on the third and final verse. On behalf of all-male acts, he also addresses the struggles faced in pursuing their art and its effect on relationships, both casual and intimate. He mentions however the value of his partner in his life and the effort and sacrifices he makes to be there for her and still pursue his dreams.

The choice of feature for this song is almost perfect (lol, our imperfections don’t serve us right) and the “highlify” nature of the instrumental makes it easily likable. It is a danceable tune and very easy to sing along after one or two plays. The concept captured by the song is also very relatable. A song with such clever lyrics, a rhythmic instrumental, shapely melody and expressive vocals is definitely deserved of appreciation.

“It be plain plain, It no be Morse Code!!!”

Peewezel and The Gentleman are responsible for this Instrumental.
